Dr Jane Nguyen

Dr. Jane Nguyen graduated from Monash University in 2004 and completed residency at Peninsula Health. She developed an interest in Psychiatry soon after, and completed her psychiatry training at Frankston and The Alfred hospitals. Since obtaining Fellowship, she has been working in a combination of public and private practice.
As a trained general adult psychiatrist, Dr Nguyen provides psychiatric assessment and management for patients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis and personality disorders. An area of special interest of hers is women's mental health, with consideration of gender role and biological factors including the impact of hormonal changes in the management of mental illness.
In addition, She is a member of the Faculty of Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, a sub-specialty of psychiatry that involves assessing and treating general medical and surgical patients at the interface between medicine/surgery and psychological issues, with special interest in patients diagnosed with cancer (psycho-oncology).
Dr Nguyen admits patients to the Mental Health Unit at Beleura Private Hospital and attends to other specialists’ patients when required at Peninsula Private Hospital, St John of God Frankston, The Bays, Holmesglen Private Hospital and Frankston Private Hospital.
